LOV-Story #Collection

Did you know that…

… small rooms appear larger through indirect lighting – while large rooms only gain structure and depth through carefully placed light accents?

Light does not only determine how bright a space is, but how we perceive it. In smaller rooms, indirect light allows walls and ceilings to visually recede. Light is reflected, shadows become softer, and the space feels more open, calm, and expansive.

Large rooms work differently. They require deliberate points of light that create zones, provide orientation, and add depth to the space – by structuring areas, highlighting objects, or acting as a visual centerpiece themselves, adding atmospheric intensity to the room. Without this structure, even generous spaces can feel empty and unsettled. Only the interplay of direct and indirect lighting creates an atmosphere that is not only functional, but truly defines the space.

This is where intentional lighting design begins.
And this is exactly where our collections come in.

A Light, that remains

Sometimes it is not the entire room that no longer feels right, but a single luminaire that simply no longer fits. It still serves its purpose, yet gradually fades into the background. And still, it remains – not because it is right, but because nothing better has taken its place.

What is often missing is something that feels more personal – something that feels as if it truly belongs to the space.

Light is, in its material form, the object that shapes the room, and in its immaterial form, the quality of illumination that can be curated. Through both object and light, atmosphere is created within a space.

What matters is the relationship between object and effect – and the conscious decision of how a space should be perceived through light. This is where light becomes more than design; it becomes experience. As in Lightstories, where a individually designed luminaire gives the space a new expression. The personal inscription, combined with warm light, subtly yet noticeably transforms the perception of the room.

Shaping atmosphere consciously

We often only realise in everyday life how strongly light influences the perception of a space. Whether entering the kitchen in the morning, the living room in the evening, or moving through a corridor – it is never architecture alone that defines the impression, but light that shapes the atmosphere and gives the space its character.

What becomes truly interesting is where both come together. When light does not come from a single direction but is thought of in layers, depth emerges – and the space begins to unfold naturally.

Light as part of a personal narrative

Each of our luminaires is more than a functional object – it is an independent lighting piece, consciously conceived and selected for different spaces. The focus is not on uniformity, but on versatility. Many of our designs can be individually shaped through materials, details, or modular elements before being integrated into a space. This does not result in spontaneous adaptation within the room, but in a deliberate decision beforehand – with a clear intention of how a lighting object should later shape the perception of the space.

All of our luminaires are crafted in-house, with a strong focus on materiality, quality, and a precise lighting effect. Ultimately, it is not only about light itself – but about the interaction within a space, its coherence with objects and surroundings, and ultimately the people experiencing it.

Our luminaires bring together different ideas, materials, and design approaches. What unites them is a shared intention: to understand light as a conscious element of spatial perception, where comfort and usability come together.

Spaces that do not only function – but create a feeling of belonging, where one truly feels at home.
